As one of the longest standing companies in the German food retail, the Uplegger Food Company has been founded 140 years ago as a cheese wholesaler. Together with the market structure the task, challenges and organisation changed throughout the years. Today the name Uplegger Food Company stands for the import, the distribution, as well as the marketing in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands of quality chilled products. The main product groups are dairy, cheese, desserts, and convenience products originating from more than 20 internationally known manufacturing partners based all around Europe.
